Apply Now for Mobile Learning Summer Institute, May 21-25
As an important component of the Mobile Learning Initiative, a summer institute focused on teaching and learning in a mobile environment will be held from May 21 to May 25. This institute will enable faculty to consider creative pedagogical strategies to leverage the power of mobile devices to enhance teaching and learning. Projects And Initiatives

Academic Technologies manages, directs, or conducts a variety of initiatives focusing on the effective, efficient, and pedagogically sound integration of technology into. Among our current initiatives is the eLearning Quality Instruction Program, as well as initiatives in course redesign; wikis, blogs, podcasts, and social-networking tools; classroom-capture technology; and the university's Mobile Learning Initiative.

Academic Technologies Departments
E-LEARNING

E-Learning administers all aspects of Blackboard (Boise State’s online course-management system) as well as the Online Testing Center.

ITV & DISTRIBUTED LEARNING

Instructional Television and Distributed Learning provides communication services (including videoconferences and webinars) in support of distance learning and university administration. In addition, the division provides communication services for governmental agencies, businesses, civic organizations, and individuals.

CLASSROOM INTERACTIVE TECHNOLOGIES

Most of the services previously provided by Classroom Interactive Technologies are now provided by the Office of Information Technology, including communication equipment and software in support of instruction and technical support for general-purpose classrooms.

FACULTY DEVELOPMENT

Each semester, Academic Technologies develops a curriculum of faculty-development opportunities, including workshops in Blackboard and other software; seminars and panel discussions on teaching with technology; live, interactive telecasts and satellite broadcasts, in addition to offering the eLearning Quality Instruction Program, featuring an 8-week seminar in online course design.
